ILCA Vang – Bulls eye fairlead with stainless steel insert (for Harken)

In time the original bulls eye fairlead fitted to the Harken made ILCA vang lower assembly may become cracked, so reducing reliability, or the secondary line can wear grooves into it, so increasing friction. The amount of additional friction is perhaps overstated by some parties but there are two replacement options. One is to replace with the original bulls eye fairlead & the second is this bulls eye fairlead with a stainless steel insert.

This bullseye fairlead is supplied with two spacers. These spacers go under the fairlead to both space it off the top of the vertical pivot pin & to lift it to the same height as the original fairlead.

The original bolts/setscrew can be used. Tighten firmly but do not over tighten.

Flatbladed Screwdriver (Earlier version)
7mm Spanner
